Who are the Family Mediators? Minimize

Our team is professionally trained in both child focussed and financial issues and aims to offer the best possible service in Family Mediation available in Northern Ireland. We provide a private and independent service, designed to suit your needs.  Appointments are generally offered within 14 days. We each work to the standards and code of practice of the UK College of Family Mediators and are members of Family Mediators Association. We have to date between us accrued more than 50 years experience of Family Mediation practice!

  

 
Sheena Bell MA (Sociology) Minimize
 
Sheena Bell is an accredited and registered Family Mediator and mediator supervisor of the College of Mediators.  She is also a relationship counsellor, disability conciliator and workplace mediator.  Qualified and practising since 1987. Accredited by National Family Mediation.

 
Malachy Hagan (LLB) Cert PLS Minimize

Malachy Hagan qualified in Family Mediation in 2006.  He is also a Disability Conciliator and Youth Justice Conference co-ordinator.  He has practised Family Law since 1981.

 
Christine Carlin BSc Minimize

Christine Carlin qualified in Family Mediation in 2006.  She is also a Parenting Educator since 1999 and a certified NLP Practitioner.   L’Derry based.

 
Ken Cathcart, BA, MBA Minimize
Ken Cathcart is a community, workplace, disability mediator, Youth Justice conference co-ordinator and authorised officer of Parades Commission.  Completes training in Family Mediation January 2009.  L’Derry based.
 
Janni Knox, MA, BA Minimize
Janni Knox is a Family Mediator (FMNI), Co-ordinator of Disability Conciliation Service, N.Ireland, Youth Justice conference co-ordinator sessional mediator, trainer and internal moderator of Mediation NI.  Accredited by Mediators Institute Ireland.
 
Tara Thompson, BSc [hons] Sociology Minimize

Tara Thompson has worked both in the Voluntary and Statutory sector. She has a background as social worker in Family and Childcare and currently works as Court Children's Officer. She qualified in Family Mediation, having trained with Key Mediation Training Consultancy. She has a keen interest of Direct Work with children effected by separation.

Huw Griffiths BA CQSW MSc Minimize
Huw Griffiths trained as a Family Mediator with National Family Mediation, London, in 1992. L’Derry based.
 
Aedin M. Bradley B.C.L Minimize
Aedin Bradley qualified as a solicitor 1987. Practising in field of Family Law, trained as a collaborative lawyer 2002. Accredited to represent children since 1998. Trained as mediator 2006.

 
Shirley McPhillemy BSc App Soc Sc, CQSW Minimize
Shirley McPhillemy is a Child Contact Centre co-ordinator and a Family mediator (Children’s Issues) since 2006. Coleraine based.

 
Roisin O’Neill LLB Minimize
Roisin O’Neill qualified in Family Mediation 2006, having been introduced to its advantages whilst interning in New York & Florida.

 
Siobhan Molloy, B.Ed, post grad. Dip Minimize
Siobhan Molloy is a Family Mediator (FMNI) based in Enniskillen.  She qualified in Family Mediation, having trained with Key Mediation Training Consultancy via the sponsorship scheme of DHSSPS. Trainer for NI Council for Ethnic Minorities.

 
Harry Barry, CQSW Minimize
Harry Barry qualified as a Family Mediator via National Family Mediation in 1992. Sessional mediator (FMNI) since 2003.  Senior Social Worker (Adolescent Support Unit).
